A king is betrayed by his own army. His dying world is on the brink of destruction when King Aidon and his family flee to Earth. Aided by advanced survival suits, the royal family must overcome all the dangers Earth throws at them, while the king struggles with the question of whether to save his home planet at the expense of Earth. With their home planet bereft of resources, it is believed that invading Earth and appropriating its natural resources could save their people and their planet. But who deserves to live? Will a King bearing the responsibility to protect his people disregard his birthright for the survival of his own wife and children?
Law of Resistance is an engrossing tale of one family’s journey and sacrifice. Having read about the story’s conception and the ideas its creators sought to infuse into this epic adventure…I was intrigued. Turning the pages I was swept into the story. The artwork is breathtaking. I found myself amazed at how brilliantly the novel had realized and orchestrated so many complex themes in words and pictures.
This is the saga of King Aidon and his quest to protect his family, his people, and to save his world. The journey Aidon and his wife and children make is both compelling and emotional. We share in their hopes and dreams, see their flaws and virtues, and we are saddened by their failures and are uplifted by their victories. While the adventure and intrigue are both pulse pounding and page turning, I also found that Law of Resistance is poignant and relevant to our times. Its themes echo real world concerns such as our planet’s evolving climate. This story invites us to reflect on our nature. It shows what could be the very best in our nature while holding us captive by its powerful storytelling and masterful artistry.
